2021-22

Won five events at the TYR Fall Classic including the 100 fly (48.11),  200 free relay, and the 400 free relay with meet record-setting times in the 400 medley relay and 200 medley relay… swam in the Morcom Aquatics Center record-setting 200 medley relay, won the 100 fly (47.79), and placed second in the 100 free (44.83) and 400 free relay against Auburn.

2020-21

Helped the Noles score in four relays at NCAAs for the first time since 1999…placed 11th in the 400 medley relay,14th in the 200 medley relay, 15th in the 200 free relay and 13th in the 400 free relay …placed 45th in the 50 free (20.00) 20th in the 100 fly (46.06) and  49th in the 100 free (43.96)…helped the Noles qualify for the NCAA Championships in the 200 free, 200 medley and 400 free relays…part of the teams that placed fourth in the 200 medley and 400 free relays at ACCs…also swam on the sixth place-finishing 400 medley relay and fifth place-finishing 200 free relay…took 10th in the 100 free (42.88)  and 18th in the 50 free (19.68) behind best times…also matched his best in the 100 fly at 45.97 and placed 10th…took second in the 50 free (20.73) vs. Tampa…won the 100 free (44.40) and 100 fly (48.11) at No. 22 Auburn…placed third in the 100 free (44.28) before winning the 100 fly (47.19) vs. LSU… finished ninth in the 100 free (43.57) and was seventh in the 50 free (20.08) and 100 fly (48.47) at the Georgia Invite…also competed on relays where he helped the Noles finished third in both the 200 and 400 free relay…tied for second place in the 100 free (44.96) and competed in the 100 fly (50.70) and 200 free (1:44.47) against TCU… was second in the 100 fly (48.56) and 100 free (45.41) and competed in the 200 free (1:46.50) against RV Georgia Tech…was the Irish national champion in the 100m free with a FINA B standard of 49.51…competed on relays for Team Ireland at the 2021 European Championships were he was a part of three national records in the 4×100 free relay, 4×200 mixed free relay and 4×100 mixed free relay.

2019-20

Qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 100 fly…was a key factor on the Seminole relays at the ACC Championships…anchored the Noles to victory in the 200 free relay behind a split of 18.93…swam fly on the 200 and 400 medley relays that won silver and also anchored the 400 free relay to bronze…took ninth in the 100 fly behind a career best of 45.97…also won the C final of the 100 free with a best time of 43.08 and took 21st in the 50 free at 19.75…took second in the 100 free (45.61) against FAU…was second in the 100 fly (48.29) and fourth in the 200 free (1:40.63) against Alabama…won the 100 fly with a career best time of 46.26 and placed fifth in the 100 free (43.28), tied for fourth in the 50 free (19.72) at the GT Invite…helped the Noles win the 200 and 400 free relays and finish qualifying for the NCAA Championships… swam the fly leg in both the 200 and 400 medley relays that place second…won the 200 fly (1:51.91) and 100 free (45.39) vs. Florida Southern…was the runner-up in the 100 fly (48.81) against No. 9 UF… took second in the 100 fly (49.05) at Georgia Tech…finished fifth in the 200 free (1:41.23) and finished second in the 100 fly (49.18) in the win over Minnesota…took second in the 100 fly (48.83) and finished fourth in the 200 free (1:40.14)…took fourth in the 50 free (21.05) before finished second in the 100 fly (48.99) at No. 12 Notre Dame…competed in the 50m free (23.69), 100m fly (55.42), 200m free (1:57.99) and 100m free (53.89) at the 2019 US Open

2018-19

Was a member of the 800 free relay that set the school record and finished fifth at the ACC Championships with an NCAA A time of 6:18.35…placed 20th in the 200 free with a time of 1:36.32 after clocking a personal best in prelims at 1:35.95…also competed in the 500 free (4:25.71) and 200 fly (1:47.80) at ACCs…placed 20th in the 50 free (20.40) after posting a time of 20.24 in prelims at the GT Invite…finished 12th in the 100 fly (47.34) and earned a second swim in the 200 free (1:41.25) after posting a time of 1:38.72 in prelims…was also 18th in the 200 fly (1:50.77) following a swim of 1:48.26 in prelims…took fourth in the 100 fly (48.88)  and sixth in the 200 fly (1:52.59) against Pitt/GT…was fourth in the 200 fly (1:54.82) and fifth in the 100 fly (49.35) at No. 18 Minnesota…grabbed third in the 200 free (1:40.45) and fifth in the 100 fly (49.82) and was on the winning 400 free relay against No. 14 Arizona State…was third in the 200 free (1:40.39) against No. 3 UF…was the runner-up in the 200 fly (1:51.85) and took first place in the 100 fly (49.95) against Florida Southern… finished third in the 500 free (4:37.46) and 200 fly (1:52.06) at No. 18 Alabama…was the runner-up in the 100 free (46.00) and won the 500 free (4:35.13) against Florida Atlantic….won bronze at the 2019 Irish Open Championships in the 50m fly (24.45) and was also sixth in the 50m free (23.48)…added 11th place finishes in the 100m free (51.17) and 200m free (1:52.68).

High School

A versatile prospect from the Millfield School, which has produced several FSU greats such as Rob Holderness and Matt Shead, McCusker finished eighth in the 100m fly at the Swim England Winter Champs with a personal best of 55.09. He competed at the 2017 British Summer Championships in 2017. McCusker helped win the 2017 Arena League Cup for Millfield for the first time in 12 years, where he won the 100m fly (55.94).
